My Family

My family
I come from a pretty diverse family. My father is full blood Japanese, my mother is a mix of caucasion, therefore I am half and half. My parents have both been in previous marriages before they were married and both had children from their previous marriages. My father, who was married to a Japanese woman, had two children a boy and a girl. My mother, was married to a caucasion man and they had two caucasion boys. Years later, they were divorced and met eachother and here I am. So I have 3 half brothers and 1 half sister all of who are much older than me.
I love my family very much and I am very luck to be a part of such a wonderful group of people.

My roommates I really enjoy living in Chico and attending Chico State. I have 5 roommates and we all live in a house together. Above is a picture of a few of them. I met both Katie's in the dorms and the others throughout time.

My Hobbies and Interests

Some things I enjoy.

I love snowboarding!!! I've already been twice this season. I usually board at Sierra at Tahoe or Northstar because I have a season pass there (Thanks to my Mom and Dad). It was my birthday present. I also love sports, I don't currently play any sports for Chico State, but in high school I ran cross-country and track and I was the point guard for the womens basketball team for Lodi High. I also played recreational co-ed softball with my family team. As active as that might sound, I must have been a cat in a past life, because I do enjoy my lazy days. I like spending time watching romantic comedies and "feel good" movies. My friend usually tease me about my "ignorant bubble". That I often view life as wonderful and always good.

The Basic Facts About Me

My name is Denise and I am a full time student at Chico State University. I am currenty trying to get throught the accounting program and I'm learning the language of Spanish. I just recently turned 22 years old this December. I'm in Chico most of the time, but my home town where my family and friends live is Lodi, CA. It's a pretty small town that's north of Stockton and south of Sacramento.
